Monique Currie’s 29 points push Phoenix Mercury past Dallas Wings in OT

Behind forward Monique Currie’s 29 points on 11-of-19 shooting, the Phoenix Mercury clipped the Dallas Wings 101-100 in overtime on Thursday night in Arlington, Texas. With Dallas up one with less than a minute remaining, Currie knocked down the go-ahead three-pointer to give Phoenix (14-12) the win.

Along with Currie, guard Danielle Robinson finished with 17 points while All-Star guard Diana Taurasi chipped in 16 points. Off the bench, forward Emma Cannon poured in 17 points. The Mercury shot a blistering 51 percent from the field.

Forward Glory Johnson lead the Wings (13-15) with a double-double, posting 25 points and 15 rebounds in the contest. Guard Allisha Gray finished with 19 points, while All-Star guard Skylar Diggins-Smith had 13 points. Off the bench, forward Kayla Thornton added 15 points.
