The Western New York Flash signed Brazilian forward Debinha, according to a release.
The team did not release terms of the contract
The 25-year-old has 54 appearances for the Brazilian National Team since making her debut in 2011. In those games, she has scored 21 goals — good for 7th all-time for Brazil.
“Debinha comes to us as one of the most exciting players in the world at the moment,” Western New York Flash Technical Director Charlie Naimo said in the release. “Her performance in the Olympics was one of the best. She will be extremely versatile for us and create problems for opponents on both edges.”
Debinha played for Dalian Quanjian in the Chinese Women’s Super League in 2016. Previous to that, she spent three seasons playing for Avaldsnes IL in the Norwegian Toppserien.
