After No. 1 UConn trounced USF on Tuesday night to win the program’s 90th straight game and tie its own NCAA-record win streak, the Huskies were treated to a video montage that paid homage to their incredible feat.
Featured in the short video, which was shown at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn., were several members of the team that recorded the first streak between 2008–2010, as well as Morgan Tuck and Breanna Stewart, who graduated in 2016 and were integral parts of the current streak.
In their previous march toward history, the Huskies’ 90th win came against Pacific in December 2010, but the streak ultimately came to an end later that month against Stanford. This year’s Huskies will go for win No. 91 in a row on Saturday at SMU.

The next-best college basketball winning streak is owned by John Wooden’s UCLA men’s teams from the 1970s, which won 88 consecutive contests.
