U.S. Olympic pole vaulter Sandi Morris and British tennis player Laura Robson notified their fans and the public Monday that they were safe after both were in Las Vegas during the shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival that left at least 50 dead and more than 400 injured.
Morris, who won the silver medal in pole vault at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janiero, was across the street from where the attack took place attending a Blue Man Group show.
She posted a video on Twitter describing the experience as “very surreal and odd,” as the building was put on lockdown for five hours, ending around 4:30 a.m.
