The New York Riveters have filled five of their six practice player contracts. Defensemen Gabie Figueroa and Rebecca Morse, forwards Julia Herr and Taylor Holze and goaltender Sarah Bryant all signed contracts with the Riveters on Friday.
For Figueroa and Holze, it is a return to the team that both players suited up for in the league’s inaugural season. Figueroa played in 18 games during the regular season as well as in both games in the Isobel Cup playoffs and tallied one goal. Holze made seven appearances with New York during the regular season and chipped in an assist.
Bryant and Morse are both products of Providence College. Bryant posted a 3.29 goals against average in 4,000 career minutes. She added a .877 save percentage. Morse scored 16 goals and added 45 assists from the blue line during her career as a Friar.
Herr made 90 appearances for Trinity College where she scored 38 goals and added 44 assists.
The Riveters will hold an open tryout during practice in order to fill the remaining slot.
