The Buffalo Beauts, the 2017 Isobel Cup champions, were honored at a Buffalo Sabres game in Buffalo, N.Y. on Tuesday night.
The team’s appearance at KeyBank Center on Tuesday came after it captured its first, and the second-ever, NWHL championship on Sunday night with a 3–2 win over the defending-champion Boston Pride in Massachusetts.
Buffalo was led in the final by a 60-save performance from goaltender Brianne McLaughlin, as well as goals from Megan Bozek, Emily Jangia and Corinne Buie.
The Beauts advanced to Sunday’s title game after recording a 4–2 win over the New York Riveters on Friday.
