Four-time defending ACC champion Notre Dame has been voted the preseason favorite to win the conference for a fifth straight year, the league announced on Thursday. The voting was conducted in two polls by the ACC’s Blue Ribbon panel and the 15 head coaches in the conference.
The Irish received 35 first-place votes and totaled 858 points to top the Blue Ribbon poll, while Louisville placed second with five first-place votes and earned 809 points. Duke (799 points) and Florida State (752 points) both earned 10 first-place votes while placing third and fourth in the preseason rankings.
The ACC Coaches poll saw the top four unchanged, as Notre Dame led the way with eight first-place votes (212 points). Louisville earned one first-place vote (205 points), while Duke (200 points) and Florida State (188 points) each earned three votes.

The Blue Ribbon panel voted Duke redshirt senior All-American guard Lexie Brown as the conference’s preseason Player of the Year while Louisville junior All-American guard Asia Durr earned the honor from the league’s head coaches. Both players were also named to the Blue Ribbon and conference coaches preseason All-ACC Team.
