“Hey Chicago, what do you say, Nastia’s throwing out the first pitch today.”
On Tuesday night, Liukin—the 2008 Olympic gymnastics all-around gold medalist—took a visit to the Friendly Confines of Wrigley Field for the San Francisco Giants-Chicago Cubs game to throw out the first pitch.
And she nailed a perfect 10. Liukin began the pitch by doing a flip in front of the mound before throwing the actual ball, and while she probably didn’t throw it as well as she would’ve liked, the flip makes up for it.
