The Maryland women’s basketball team hit one of the craziest shots ever on Sunday.
During the Terrapins’ second round game against the Big 12 champion West Virginia Mountaineers, Maryland freshman guard Destiny Slocum hit a shot that is a must-see. With just 3.6 seconds remaining until halftime, Slocum received the ball just above her own three-point line, and, as she was being tightly guarded by a Mountaneer, the Terrapin chucked the ball up the length of the court as a last-second desperation shot
It went in.
In order to truly believe it, it has to be watched:
Maryland went on to defeat West Virginia 83-56. Slocum finished second on the team with 21 points.
