The Indiana Fever have a new shooting guard on their roster after executing a trade with the San Antonio Stars for Jazmon Gwathmey in exchange for a third-round draft pick in 2018.
On Tuesday the Fever announced that the 6-foot-2 guard out of James Madison would be joining the organization for her second year in the WNBA.
With the Stars, the rookie played in 22 games and recorded 10 starts. She averaged 3.3 points per game. At James Madison she was named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year as a senior in 2016.
In the second round of last season’s WNBA draft Gwathmey was selected by the Minnesota Lynx as their second pick. However on draft night she had her rights traded to San Antonio.
