Holly Holm earned her first UFC win since defeating Ronda Rousey 19 months ago on Saturday.
Holm, who entered Saturday’s bout with three straight losses since notoriously upsetting Rousey, knocked out Bethe Correia with a left head kick at UFC Fight Night in Singapore.
The final kick came at 1:09 into the third round. Correia fell backwards and Holm rushed in with a left-handed punch, at which point the fight was stopped. Until that point, it was a slow fight, as the referee warned both fighters for timidity in the second round.
“I know she can make it look messy and I know we heard a lot of boos in the first round,” Holm said. “But I wanted to make it look as clean as possible. “I’m going to enjoy this night right now, enjoy the victory. It’s been a year-and-a-half since I was able to do a backflip in here.”

Holm landed 25 strikes against Correia.
It was Holm’s eighth win by knockout.
Since defeating Rousey, Holm fell to Miesha Tate, Valentina Shevchenko and Germaine de Randamie until Saturday’s bout.
