The life of an amateur Muay Thai fighter is unveiled in the documentary, “Girl Fight: A Muay Thai Story,” as it follows two women training at an all-female gym in New Jersey.
The documentary, created by Matthew Kaplowitz, tells the stories of the fighters as they prepare for upcoming bouts, while simultaneously attempting to rebuild their lives in the wake of Hurricane Sandy’s devastation at the Jersey Shore.
The winner of the best editing honor for a feature-length film at the Rahway International Film Festival in 2015, “Girl Fight: A Muay Thai Story” was also an official selection of Film Fest 52, Bronx International Film Fest, Yonkers Film Festival, New Haven International Film Festival, Albuquerque Film Festival, and Woman Up Independent Film Festival.
