FC Kansas City added three players to its 2017 roster just ahead of the start of the NWSL season, the club announced Friday.
Brittany Ratcliffe, Caroline Flynn and Maegan Kelly are the latest additions to the squad, with Mandy Laddish and Alex Arlitt both heading for the 45-day Injured Reserve list.
Ratcliffe comes to Kansas City after spending 2016 with the Boston Breakers, for whom she made 15 appearances and five starts. Flynn, the 40th selection in the 2017 NWSL College Draft, will begin her professional career with Kansas City after a solid tenure at the University of Nebraska. Kelly, who was drafted by Kansas City in 2014, went on to play overseas before making her return to the NWSL.
“I’m very happy with this roster, especially after adding these three players to the team,” head coach Vlatko Andonovski said in a release. “All three have NWSL talent and will be valuable additions to our team.”
