Three-time Olympian Elizabeth Beisel has joined the USA Swimming Foundation’s Board of Directors, it was announced Monday at the Foundation’s luncheon in New York City.
Beisel, who was a member of Team USA for this past summer’s Rio Games, is the owner of an Olympic silver and bronze medal, both of which she earned at the London Games in 2012.
The USA Swimming Foundation offers funds for programs that teach people how to swim, as well as support for professional swimmers on the U.S. national team.
“You don’t know how much we appreciate what you guys do,” Beisel said according to Swimming World. “It’s nice to know that we have people like you that support us. We’re going to do our best to swim fast and support you guys.”
