Danica Patrick’s sponsorship lawsuit is tentatively settled

Danica Patrick’s sponsorship lawsuit between Stewart-Haas Racing and Nature’s Bakery has been tentatively settled.

On Wednesday, SHR’s attorney filed a document in North Carolina Superior Court stating that “the two sides have executed settlement documents, which require certain deliverables within the next 21 business days.”

Nature’s Bakery dropped its sponsorship of the driver one year into a three-year deal, and SHR filed a lawsuit in February asking for $31 million for the final two years of the deal. Nature’s Bakery then countersued, saying that SHR and, by extension, Patrick, did not live up to its promises of support. Nature’s Bakery’s lawsuit also claimed that Patrick’s endorsement of a protein bar violated the deal.

The order also asks for a status report from the court by June 23 if the two sides have not asked for the case to be dismissed by that time.
