UFC fighter Cris "Cyborg" Justino has been cited with misdemeanor battery by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police after a public altercation with another fighter on Sunday.
TMZ first reported the citation, but Justino, 31, was not placed under arrest.
Over the weekend, Justino allegedly punched fellow-UFC fighter Angela Magana in the face at a UFC fighter retreat in Las Vegas. The incident occurred after Justino confronted Magana, a UFC strawweight, about several posts Magana has written about Justino on social media.
Magana, 33, posted a photo of herself to social media on Sunday evening and stated UFC officials called police to the hotel where the incident took place.
According to TMZ, Magana went to a local hospital where she was diagnosed with "acute head injury, cervical strain and laceration of the lip." Magana later returned to her hospital.
