Ana Carrasco, the 20-year-old Spanish motorbike racer, won round 10 of the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship in Portugal. Carrasco’s feat was historic as she is the first woman to win a motorbike World Championship. She finished 0.053 seconds ahead of Alfonso Coppola of Italy. Coppola’s second place finish did put him atop the overall standings, passing Marc Garcia.

Carrasco also made history in 2013, when she became the first female to score a point in a World Championship in the last ten years. She was just 16 years old at the time.
