Carli Lloyd made her Manchester City Women debut on Saturday in what was a 1-0 Man City win over Reading Women.
Lloyd started the FA Women’s Cup fifth-round game at City’s Academy Stadium, but it was Lucy Bronze, an England player, who scored the game-winner in the 83rd minute to secure Man City’s spot in the quarterfinals.
Bronze fired a blast after Melissa Lawley’s free kick from 20 yards out was only half-cleared by Reading.
Man City will now travel to Denmark for a Champions League quarterfinal first leg against Fortuna Hjorring on Thursday.
